About the Authors

Glenn Galtere has lived in many places around the world. First, as a United States Marine, where he served for five years, three of which were overseas. Serving first in Guam with the Third Marine Brigade, then in Korea during the Korean War with the First Marine Division as a rifleman. After military service, Glenn worked as a flight instructor, a feeder airline pilot, and a crop duster. Glenn served as a student Pastor in local Churches in the South. After graduating from seminary, he served in inner-city ministries for a total of sixteen years in the United States. To resolve financial needs, he took a break for five years and labored as a scuba diving operator, flight instructor, and a charter pilot in the Caribbean. The time was used to clarify his spiritual life afresh and his understanding of the Church.

After spending two and a half decades on the mission field, he was engulfed by the power and the presence of the Lord. The events and miracles stirred a deep abandonment to God in his life. His service as a missionary included being on a missionary ship as a first mate, then served as Captain, and, later, as a traditional missionary. He and his wife experienced many cultures, spending fifteen years in the Caribbean and ten in South Africa ministering to tribal groups in very rural areas. In formal retirement, he worked full-time as a Hospice Chaplain for six years and experienced being with people in the dying process. Experiencing God’s presence during those moments produced a deeper faith. He also served as a Chaplain for a local chapter of the Marine Corps League. Since then, he has ministered in the areas of bereavement ministries, spiritual direction, deliverance ministry, held retreats, and spiritual renewal seminars.

He is a professed member of the Brothers and Sisters of Charity Domestic. The community knows him as Brother Anthony, the religious name he took when he made his permanent profession in 2006. He is regional minister for the Brothers and Sisters of Charity Domestic since 2011. He is also active in a pro-life ministry.

Before the pandemic, he led groups twice a year to Jamaica to minister with the Missionaries of the Poor. He plans to continue these groups after the pandemic.

He and his wife, Deborah, taught in seminaries and Bible schools in the areas of theology, Scripture, Church history, spirituality, and prayer. They established two Bible Schools, one in Jamaica and the other in the Cayman Islands.

He wrote three books in the distant past: Where is Your God?, Rebels in the Church, and The Prosperity Message: Fact or Fiction. His present writings are a trilogy: Resisting Evil: A Deliverance Ministry, Sitting with God: Spiritual Guidance for Knowing God Heart to Heart, and Devotions for Sitting on the Couch with God.

His scholastic record is a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences and Biblical Studies. Bachelor of Divinity, Master of Divinity, and Doctor of Theology. Glenn earned a Diploma in Spiritual Direction and a Diploma in Evangelism. He is a member of Spiritual Directors International and the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. Throughout his adult life, he was a frequent retreatant in monasteries around the world. He found the action of evil and the evil one present in the cultures where he lived. He experienced situations that gave birth to ministries. He would say that ministries found him, he didn’t set out to create the ministries.

Glenn and Deborah are retired ministers still involved in ministry and mission work.. They have three grown sons, one who is in heaven, grandchildren, and a great-grandson. At the time of this writing, Glenn is ninety-two years young.
